"Serve, Love, Give, Purify, Meditate, Release. Be good, do good, be kind, be compassionate." -- His Holiness Sri Swami Sivananda
The word yoga itself means "union": of the individual consciousness or soul with the Universal Consciousness or Spirit. Though many people think of yoga only as physical exercises — the asanas or postures that have gained widespread popularity in recent decades — these are actually only the most superficial aspect of this profound science of unfolding the infinite potentials of the human mind and soul.
Casa Padaro beach house is an idyllic setting for a week-long yoga retreat. Through a balance of yoga, nutrition and a simple, natural setting, guests can achieve sattva — a Sanskrit word describing a state of harmony, balance, joy and intelligence that radiates from the inside out. Week-long retreats include yoga, pilates, nutrition and cooking classes, meals and lodging.
Our Yoga sessions, aim to increase flexibility, core-strength, balance and focus. Whether you’re new to Yoga or have an established practice, Yoga sessions can greatly improve your stand up paddleboarding/surfing fitness as well as reducing muscular aches and pains. Join in the fun with this week long Yoga Retreat.
Join us each morning as the sun is rising and the waves crash gently on the sand, for a gentle, yet challenging yoga session on the beach.
Sei Bella Wellness Retreat
is the vision of Vicki Krupansky
From a very early age, Vicki was actively in search of a healthy lifestyle suitable to her own bodies needs. Lead solely by an intuitive feeling that it was the correct way to nourish her body, she became a vegetarian at a young age. Being active came naturally to her and with age she came to realize that staying in shape went hand in hand with doing activities you love. Along with snowboarding, hiking, rock climbing, sailing, Volunteering and traveling, Vicki loves anything and everything that has to do with the ocean. She has been an avid longboard surfer since the 80's and has competed in surf contests, taught surfing lessons, and ran destination surf camps for children.
Vicki is currently an Esthetician and a Medicupping therapist at The Biggest Loser Resort at Fitness Ridge in Malibu, California, where she has worked for over three years. She would like to bring forth her knowledge of travel, ocean sports, nutritious foods, and ancient therapies for healing and ridding the body of toxins and congestion naturally, to the community she intends to establish at Sei Bella Wellness Retreat.
Whether it is yoga, rock-climbing, sailing, or just walking on the beach, finding what you love to do is the first step in achieving a lifestyle of healthy choices. We can't expect to continuously stay in shape if we hate our daily workout routine or the diet we are dreading to follow. I believe that the key to achieving a consistently healthy lifestyle is to find foods and forms of exercise you love. What's the point of loathing diet and exercise if you can explore new and exciting options for these important parts of our lives?
My vision for Sei Bella Wellness Retreat is to introduce an array of uniquely healthy options that you will be able to use in your every day life. Each new Wellness Retreat will offer something a little different from the last. You may come to a Retreat based around sailing and fall in love with this new hobby or pick up an art brush and discover your love for this form of expression. There are a vast number of inspirational activities to be discovered at the Sei Bella Wellness Retreat. My hope is that you will come with an open mind in order to experience something that may be an unknown form of exercise, way of eating, or hobby that connects to your personal self. You never know what will change your course on the road to health.
“Above all, learn how to breathe correctly” --Joseph Pilates
Pilates is a body conditioning routine that will help build flexibility, muscle strength, and endurance in the legs, abdominals, arms, hips and back. It puts emphasis on spine and pelvic alignment, breathing, and developing a strong core or center, and improving coordination and balance.
You will be uplifted, inspired, challenged and motivated with a pilates class on the sand, modified to each guests ability. By the end of the week you will see an amazing change in the contours of your body. The core strengthening of pilates will give you a flatter stomach and a lean physique.
Our Pilates sessions aim to increase flexibility, core-strength, balance and focus. Whether you’re new to Pilates or have an established practice, Pilates sessions can greatly improve your stand-up paddleboarding/surfing skills. Join in the fun with this week long Retreat on the beach in beautiful southern California.
Vicki Krupansky Biomagnetic Therapist
Vicki is a certified Medicupping and biomagnetic therapist and Has worked at the Biggest Loser Resort at Fitness ridge in Malibu California for over three years. She has found amazing results with these modalities for weight loss, pain management and overall health benefits.
Biomagnetic therapy is an alternative form of healing that has been in existence for over 100,000 years. The AncientGreeks discovered the very first natural magnet in the form of the lodestone, and Hippocrates, the father of medicine, noted it's healing powers.
Itis a scientifically sound alternative treatment that will help torestore and maintain physical and mental health. By scanning the body for pathogens that can cause dysfunctions and disease, Vicki is able to help balance the acidity and alkalinity levels (pH) of the body and distroy bacteria, viruses, fungus and parasites by applying magnets to specific unbalanced areas.
Dr. Isaac Goiz, medical surgeon, created the system in 1988. The use of powerful but harmless magnets has created amazing results, which have greatly improved human health.
The Oxford International University of England, gave Dr. Isaac Goiz a Doctorate of Philosophy in Bio-Energetic Medicine in 1999 because of this discovery. Dr. Goiz has successfully treated more than 250,000 patients with Biomagnetism and has trained more than 5,000 Medical doctors and other Health Therapists from all over the world. Vicki is honored and grateful to have been trained and certified by Dr. Goiz in Biomatentic therapy.
PURPOSE OF BIOMAGNETIC HEALING
The purpose of biomagnetic healing is to relieve pain and discomforts in the body. In addition to relieving pain and discomfort, magnets can reduce inflammation and stress, improve circulation, help the body ward off invaders such as viruses, bacteria, parasites and fungi.
HOW BIOMAGNETS WORK
Biomagnet work is based upon the body's make up of cells and how they interact. All cells that are alive are electrical. The outside of a cell has a negative charge and the inside, a positive charge. This combination of opposite charges allows the cell to function normally. When a part of the body becomes damaged, such as the body's tissue, the damaged area responds with inflammation, which is caused by a lack of blood flow. This lack of blood flow blocks the body's natural ability to provide oxygen and nutrients to the injured cells. Thus, the polarity of the cells gets out of whack. The role biomagnets play in aiding damaged tissue is based upon the belief that magnets can realign the cells polarity, which helps the cell get back to functioning normally.
The magnet's energy speeds up biological processes and enables the body to heal itself and ease pain. This catalyst stimulates blood circulation, allowing more oxygen to be distributed all over the body.
Art & Wine Tasting
Artist Rachel Wyatt
I don't remember when my creative journey began or when I held my first paint brush. It was always there. This longing to capture the world around me and express the imaginary world within me. The most challenging, and rewarding relationship of my life and I really had no choice in this love affair with the artist who is me and it will last my life time. ~ Rachel Wyatt
Rachel Wyatt is from Portland, Oregon. She is self taught. Her extensive travels as a flight attendant have transformed her work, taking her all over the world and introducing her to a variety of cultures and human stories which play out in her portraits. A colorful, unorthodox childhood are also at play in her artistic journey. She has shown at numerous art events and galleries in the Pacific Northwest, including her art studio from 2007 to 2010 in the Portland Alberta Arts district. She created the Rachel Wyatt art studio with the idea in mind to encourage people to buy original art directly from the artist. The studio became very popular hosting art parties with a featured artist of the month. The studio also offered a variety of art classes available for all ages throughout the year. She currently lives and paints in Los Angeles.
Throughout the week, Rachel will be leading the group in a fun filled art workshop with wine tasting of local Santa Barbara wines. One specific art project that we will work on as a group will be the creation of a nature Mandala. Each day during our beach hikes you will collect pieces of nature that inspire you. together we will create a large mandala on the sand. Photo of Rachel curtesy of www.amcdermott.com
The word "mandala" is from the classical Indian language of Sanskrit. Loosely translated to mean "circle," a mandala is far more than a simple shape. It represents wholeness, and can be seen as a model for the organizational structure of life itself--a cosmic diagram that reminds us of our relation to the infinite, the world that extends both beyond and within our bodies and minds.
Describing both material and non-material realities, the mandala appears in all aspects of life: the celestial circles we call earth, sun, and moon, as well as conceptual circles of friends, family, and community.

SUP's and SURF
For those wanting the thrill of riding the waves, world famous Rincon Point, in beautiful southern California, is just 3 miles down the road. You will have the option of surfing early morning, to be back in time for yoga, or during our paddleboarding sessions. You can also choose to surf evenings after dinner, as there will be plenty of daylight in the month of March.
Stand up paddleboarding has become the biggest rage on the California Coast. It is a fun and relaxing way to explore the ocean and a great way to cross train, offering a full body workout.
The popularity of stand up paddelboarding has its origin in the Hawaiian Island in 1944. Laird Hamilton and Dave Kalama re-introduced the ancient sport known as paddle surfing. SUP’ing has become the fastest growing water sport in the history of water sports and is adaptable for every style, from leisurely cruises in placid waters to surfing waves in the Pacific.
Two hours each day will be set aside to paddle out into the beautiful California ocean. Boards and paddles will be provided.
